Jenny & Louis: Alpheton Woodland Wedding
Alpheton Hall Barns, despite having so much history, is also a venue where every couple that gets married there can make their own mark. The freedom to create a wedding day that reflects who they are and how they want to celebrate is a unique aspect.
Jenny and Louis truly made the most of it. From the dimpled pint glass mug tankards to espresso martinis in the evening, and magic tricks in the garden, even a champagne coupe tower…
During their woodland glade ceremony, everyone joined in to sing ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ by The Supremes. This is not something I see often; I’ve only encountered it before at London weddings, and I’m quite surprised it’s not catching on more. It is really uplifting to hear guests singing a favourite song of the couple during a civil wedding ceremony.
I have to, of course, mention how The Barista’s Shed was parked outside in the evening, serving up coffee and espresso martinis. I know if I lived near Sudbury I’d be a regular customer of theirs; best cappuccino I’ve had in years!
When Jenny had an outfit change for the evening, I knew things were going to get serious on the dance floor. The first dance was the song ‘Everytime We Touch’ by Cascada, and then things escalated quickly because they booked the band Noughty Nineties… who immediately made it onto my recommended wedding band list by playing my favourite ‘90s dance classics.
