Tom & Stacey’s Ipswich Wedding
New faces and new places.
Both warm and welcoming.
When I arrived at the venue I was walking to the lodgings when Stacey’s dad pulled up in a golf buggy and gave me a lift.
I had never met anyone here before, they booked me during the first lockdown so we had only spoken on the phone.
But here I was welcomed into such an important family day from the moment I turned up.
Stacey and Tom’s wedding was a heartwarming family affair.
I was really moved at how all the children at the wedding were so loved, hugged, and included by all.
I loved how they played with the veil before their mum got dressed.
I have never seen a wedding outfit stay immaculately clean all day, it should be enjoyed and truly worn. The happy blemishes and dirt of the events of the day.
That really is perfect.
The girls also made the table place names with their wonderful drawings.
The ring security boys did an exemplary job of delivering the rings, and of playing in the rain whilst looking so very dapper.
And I have to admit I laughed when Stacey and Tom walked back down the aisle after getting married.
Thankfully I can still take photos when I am laughing., which is lucky because I’d never get my job done if I couldn’t!
Anyway, they took those first married steps to the song Laid by James. One of my favourite songs and not one I ever expected to hear during a ceremony. I was delighted!
I love being surprised by musical choices, one of the perks of my job.
The venue was also new to me, it is quite a new place, purpose-built just for weddings and opened in 2018. Jess from Fynn Valley Terrace was fantastic at co-ordinating the day and looking after everyone!
