A bride holding flowers on the beach at Camber Sands. The Gallivant wedding.

Alexa & Gary at The Gallivant, Camber Sands

What a lovely day this was. Full of familiar faces that I usually only see in a little circle online!
Gary and I have been twitter friends for quite a few years so when it came to planning his wedding with Alexa he remembered me. We have a few mutual friends online and it was lovely to see them all on the day.

Alexa and Gary planned a beach wedding in early March, bad weatsher was to be expected but we were very pleasantly surprised.
It was perfect, not too cold at all, and the light was lovely.
Everything took place at The Gallivant, a wonderful little thoughtful venue just opposite the sand dunes of Camber Sands.

After the ceremony we all headed over to the dunes where staff were waiting with picnic baskets of canapés and drinks.
You really felt miles away from everything, a great place to recharge your batteries.

The rest of the day was filled with good food, good conversation, thoughts of those no longer with us, so much laughter and a brilliantly cheesy playlist for the evening. I surprised myself with the discovery that I still know every single word to Boy Meets Girl’s Waiting for a Star to Fall during their first dance!
