Claudine and Ian made their way back down the aisle to the Ski Sunday theme and all the congregation appropriately joined in! I did a little bit too but it’s quite tricky to take pictures while bobbing up and down!
The day started off in Southend with Claudine getting ready in her family home then off to Chelmsford at St Mary’s Church, right next to where V Festival is held at Hylands Park every year! I mention this because there is a festival theme to this day. I have many lanyards from the festivals I have shot over the years and this time I had my first wedding line up lanyard! The reception was over in Roxwell at Newland Hall but there was a little diversion on the way there to the church. I had to act pretty swiftly and hot foot it to my car after the church pictures so I could beat the bride and groom to the surprise that awaited them…Claudine’s Mum had arranged for a horse drawn carriage as a treat!
Later on in the day Ian and Claudine treated their guests to a specially choreographed first dance to Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ AKA… What a Life. This really kicked the evening proceedings off…lots of dancing and glow sticks followed!
